Its gonna be the arbitrator fiasco all over again, isnt it?. A human sized class without a single reason to not be able to equip already paid for cosmetics.

I’ve been promoting the idea of a hiver-type class that could use ANY cosmetic in the game for…years at this point I think.
If any of the half-cocked theories about FS just ripping the easiest ideas from the forums are at all true, I hope they stole that idea too!
At the very least, I don’t expect them to repeat the Arbites facial augments fumble, but we’ll see!
Biggest problem with this is that if they hadnt gone back on the bug excuse, arbites would be restricted to like 5 headgears lmao
The problem imo isn’t that they said it was a bug (which I took as the shorthand for “an unintended internal issue” which I see all the time). The bigger issue was that a decision was made somewhere along the way to not have the Arbites be able to wear those augmetic cosmetics.
But I also think they did the right thing by doing whatever they had to do to get those approved. Seeing now that Arbites truly has no cosmetics, it’s even more surprising that they walked it back.
Almost assuredly won’t be the case because they’ve already shown new faces and hairs for hive ganger and the retrofitting effort exceeds what Fatshark is known for in terms of cosmetics clipping efforts. Might also involve tons of painstaking arbitrary greenlighting by GW, probably. It is a good idea though
I think it’d be pretty stupid to shoot both feet at the gate with this again. Especially if they forget to tell the people actually updating the game so players can have the ability to use these cosmetics stolen hours after purchase again like with Arbites. I would like to assume that they learned something from that debacle.
i mean, it IS fatshark, its not like they arent prone to power fisting their own legs every couple of months or so
