I rarely ever go to the Social menu. It appears that I have quite some people adding me. Could you make it so that when someone send us a friend request, we get a notification on the bottom-right of the screen? It could be like a very small unopened email icon or something of that nature that we have to click before it disappears? Also, make it so that people who may get annoyed by it can turn it off in the settings.
