There are few pictures of plasma weapons changing ammunition in Warhammer 40K,I think the ammunition limit of the plasma weapon can be removed and only the overheat limit can be retained,like the fairy magic bow in Warhammer: Vermintide 2.Veterans have a higher demand for ammunition than other professions. A weapon that does not need ammunition will be the final choice of veterans
