I really like the added difficulty from the increased spawns (especially in certain events).
However, since the spawns got increased, it has becone very obvious that many players really seem to struggle with doing anything else (like walking) while enemies are around. I hope those players adjust quickly, or go back to lower difficulties, although i doubt that.
Yesteday, i ran a round of mercantile and i had to wait for about 2 minutes, until my teammates finally made their way downstairs and to the second wall breach.
Their minds were stunlocked by the constant presence of enemies and they just did not move forward.
People stopping to move forward, and mindlessly slapping away at infinitely spawning enemies, is probably the largest impact of the added difficulty.
In addition to that, some people (including myself) seem to get a bunch of error 2014 since the update, so that also doesn‘t help. Repeatedly getting booted back to character select mid fight, is not the greatest for the party who is now down at least 1 player.

Yeah, this has always been a problem but especially so with how things have been cranked up.
Even players that can handle themselves can fall into this, I had a team hold out at the end event of the new map rather than try to work on the objective at all for like 5 straight minutes until we finally managed to make a group push to get the batteries. Granted there I wasn’t really sure if they didn’t understand the objective or not since the map is new. We won and they were all competent enough to barely get hurt during those 5 minutes so I’m not really complaining per se, but it’s definitely a big skill of the game to be able to fight while moving and push out of situations where you’re pinned down.
You arent kidding about the players. The noobs are out in droves since the update. They have plagued auric worse than the heretics lmao. It does have benefits though, it adds a new layer of challenge.
Its a nice change up, I enjoy seeing mix ups to the game. Bunch of the heretics ended up even more toothless from nerfs than their various plagues. However it would be nice to see rebalance done on a wider scale. Especially when its just buffs to 2 extremely poor performers, like there’s a wide range of trash that was barely more usable than a power maul. Oh well, soon like usual.
Probably lack of firepower to deal with armored enemies, which is contant issue on T4-T5 (non-auric). People grown up in level, but not in skill. Also stealth runners, who pull tons of armored (crushers/maulers/ragers/you name it) and disappearing for some reason…
Someone conclusively proved all the enemies are tougher now, and I think they bumped the director up a notch.
It’s sent me from doing Aurics pretty consistently to bumming around Heresy and vanilla Damnation. I’m never gonna finish that 4500 penance point thing…

I like the increased spawning… Just the time I started to come back in Auric… it was great lol.
From what I see, people continue to run to their death and never stop… ah yes, they stop when they are on floor.

Vet kinda was killed in the update
broke 2 toughness talents (maybe even more)
also now ranged enemy much more lethal, back to Jan 2023, its either you ski around or you die, forget cover it dont exist.
as vet you either melee vet/ plasma vet or just skip the class, meta or die.
classic vet ye, but as soon as i started spamming voice of command i’ve fixed my W/L
and the Freeze due to out of memory fix also helped
Yeah the fact most of your games are all that short means you are speed running with a knife, you can’t hide. I have 1300 hours in this game and I have never had a 20 minute game my guy.

Yeah I’m kinda regretting not cheesing the auric titles now probably never get them now the director has turned the game into a trapper convention.
Most obvious sign the mission is going to go south; that player who constantly engages the horde behind them.
Push forward people: they just keep coming otherwise!
Most obvious sign is without doubt the tiny keeled-over orange silloutte of a zealot, calling for aid, about 15 miles ahead on the map, only 2 minutes after mission started.
Someone looked into the code, horde spawns is not timer based now, only progression based.
i played 3-4 missions this evening, i hardly got any spawns, something is wrong
