I refuse to pay for content so long as the cosmetics shop remains in its current state. The FOMO, the cash-only nature of it, and the high prices all combine to make something so inherently predatory it’s only acceptable if all development is free and paid for by it.
And Admech are my boys. They’re the faction I actually paint minis for.
If the class unveiled tomorrow is Admech, I will actually have to test my principles for once as my desire to serve the Omnissiah clashes with my refusal to give this company more money while they’re being scummy.
Now granted if the shop gets less terrible I will happily buy both but I’ve given up hope on Fatshark changing anything substantially there. Closest we’ve gotten since the first few months has been them switching to two tabs and helmet packs, which is typical salami slicing of the main problem.
Fellow AdMech enjoyer, I see. Loathe as I am to say it, I agree with you. I’m still .. disgruntled .. about Fatshark’s glaring shortcomings in a certain feature that some fella who conquered Carthage keeps talking about.
Confession time: I bought Aquilas over 2 years ago and while I nabbed some neat stuff here and there, I haven’t spent another dime on them since, however I did get Arbites almost immediately. I haven’t regretted that purchase all that much since at least with a new class, I was spending money on something with proper value than 40k themed monopoly money that’d be enough for maybe an outfit or two if they were worth a crap.
All that said, you’re totally not wrong not wanting to buy classes for the reason you’ve given and I respect the hell outta you for holding onto your principles on that.
