the ammo of all the guns is mostly fine, its plenty of ammo for a mission and if you conserve it, you’ll have plenty left over at the very end, however, i don’t think that having your ammo not equal a full magazine after reloading from empty is all that great, a good way to fix this is to add more ammo or take away excess ammo. i feel like we should be able to blacklist some builds or some parts of builds but thats just because i hate survivalist with a passion.
okay so now onto the stuff that i think that is an actual problem
the enemies are varied and actually make the game fun, but, there isn’t enough types in my opinion. the new tox bomber is fun and actually makes me think that i should be looking around more when i hear the slightest hint of a sound that i shouldn’t normally hear but i feel like it got stale fast and is just a bore. a way to fix it is to just add more like a new support unit for the enemies like one that heals them after they take damage but only certain enemies with the excluded ones being the crushers and all bosses aside from captains. another enemy that i’d love to see personally is another sniper but for the dregs, maybe one that uses a bolt action rifle instead of a longlaz, giving it less accuracy and a faster fire rate than the scab snipers and giving it a pistol for when the player gets too close to the actual sniper. one more enemy idea i had is a more tactical melee enemy that i’m thinking should be called “assassin” because thats what it is. it’d have smokebombs and invis along with be very powerful for melee. it should also be weak in terms of health.
next point is the fact that your characters backstory doesn’t really mean anything. its fun and all but its also kinda worthless to actually put effort and thought into it beyond “do i wanna play as a cadian?” and only the rest of the character creation (the class, the body, and personality/voice) actually matters, a way to fix this is removing the planet selection and let us choose an cadian required option and have the other remaining backstory options give bonuses or have them play into the dialogue of the actual characters, those would make the backstory stuff be less of a time waster and more of an actual impactful option.
next is the mourningstar, i think it should have some actual themes for the updates and events like something for the omnissiah having more mechanical stuff about the mourningstar and when we’re in something like valentines day, we have a thing to celebrate sanguinius somewhere near the mission terminal. just my thoughts
When i created my first char i was suprised that there was a charakter backstory. It immediately gave me the immersion of a good RPG (like Arcanum - old Skeletons like me will remember )
But(t) realizing that it had no effect except like eyecolor was really a bummer. It would be really nice to see it having an effect on the actual game.
Mainly cause they are quite intensive models, and those take time, but we know more are coming.
I think instead of healing, an easier thing to do would be having units that change the armour tags of allied units (Eg: Bilepiper with an Aura that change Infested to Unyielding, and Unarmoured to Maniac)
Other than the pistol which I don’t think is needed, a Dreg Sniper ideally should use a Neddler, dealing much less damage, but giving a corruption creep alongside it.
For the Assassin, I’m not sure people would like that, they already dislike the stealth crusher for example, but a Lord using those sets…

You have an issue with the fact that the total ammo reserve of some weapons is not an amount equal to x full magazines?
(Example: mag size: 20; total reserves: 105)
yeah, i have a bit of a thing with OCD and it causes some problems like constantly being on my mind which is distracting as all balls. an example of this is when the bolter is used, it only has 80 reserve which would be fine if the mag were 10 or 20 but its 15, i’m not exactly a master mathematician or anything but i don’t think that 80 divided by any number is 15 (like i said, i’m not a master mathematician) even with the vets ammo perk that gives +25%, you still have less than a mag left, you’re just going from 5 bolts left to 10 left!
If that is your issue, this is probably also why you have a hate for the survivalist aura.
If you had thought through, what you are asking for (in the “personal stuff” section), you would have noticed how pointless it would be, to have your demands met.
Even if all weapons had an amount of reserve ammo, that is a whole number multiple of their magazine capacity, that would not do anything for people like you.
Due to the existence of talents like the one that you mentioned, all ammo reserves would have to be a whole number multiple of the weapon’s mag capacity times 4, so that the 25% bonus would also provide an amount of ammo, that can be divided by the amount of ammo per mag, without anything left over.
Aside from that, you could never reload any gun, without fully emptying a mag.
You could not pick up any ammo packs, unless they are also changed to always provide a whole number multiple of a full magazine.
Now some people do not like uneven numbers. Or numbers that are uneven and not multiples of 5.
Should all numbers in the game be changed, so that only such numbers appear?
