In the new map we are going to mine some cogswheels, because the hints are
And considering this, the Update may be named like “something something Machine God”?
I hope that this may hint that they will add Ogryn’s first two-handed weapons , the Pickaxes , Shockmauls and a new double-barrelled Shotgun
I am sure they will announce that just before the update and Hadron will be the one telling this to us
Also, I have a feeling that they will name this map Atelium Foundryplex Omega V, but that’s just a theory
But, to be honest, I do not really understand all of those “hints”.
What for those hints really are?
I would understand if they did them with the new character or something like a gamemode, but the map that we already know the name of and the general design…
Really, what do those hints even suppose to mean when there’s not much to even talk about.
Nobody will make 20+ replies worth of discussion about the map that is in average 40 minutes long.
And this is ONE map we are talking about.
Wait, not even the map, but the Mission.
This whole thing with hints is bizzare, don’t know what is the goal or the meaning of this…
BTW, the map and update is awesome and cool, but hints stuff are wierd.
I believe the goal is to generate hype by promoting the next update through a fun community - game development studios event a.k.a. Arrowhead.
The problem with Darktide is that I’m wondering if 1. the timing is right and 2. if we have enough of players here to make this type of promotion effective.
Personally, I don’t think the hints are doing Fatshark any favors because, in comparison to Darktide, Arrowhead has a storyline in Helldivers 2 that the developers expand by “rping” in their updates, but Fatshark never did that, and who cares about Darktide’s “story” anymore?
Yeah, I stopped caring about it out of Beta since they clearly didn’t care enough to keep any meaningful story beats in the game… Sure, there’s a story there, but it’s sparse, spread out and poorly executed.
I get the idea, but the community isn’t there. It will never be there unless Fatshark starts getting it’s act together, which judging from the past decade, isn’t happening.
Y’know I don’t think I’ve seen a studio throw emojis for an anticipated content update. Usually you want to get the serious blogs, dev stuff, trailers, etc; out first then do wacky memes later.
