Look at that new rotten armour modifer. That’s so crazy! If the game keep getting harder, DS will no be meta anymore. Maybe the explode damage weapon will be best in next season. Such as blast staff, bumble and gauntlet. Of course, we will get new class’s chem toxin. Highest damage dot and ingnore rotten DR.
Those modifiers are turning the game into release Helldivers 2 when Railgun was the only weapon used because armored targets were so strong they would survive the dedicated anti tank weapons and the only way to kill them fast enough was to abuse a bug that made Railgun way stronger than it was supposed to be. They seriously need to revamp carapace armor and some of the modifier to make other weapons viable in difficulties where you fight against clown cars of Crushers every other room

And here i thought that its because nerfing one of the most popular weapons in the game on account of small elitist minority of forum whiners is by definition a bad idea 
Especially when such an action would open doors to more and more adjustments and more work for the sake of work alone, which isn’t something Fatshark might be open right now at this time!
And lastly, there is reasonable chance that most of the whining about DS is nothing more than some power trip fetish and changing the DS would merely flung the door open for more entitled whining and other annoyances o7
They shouldn’t ruin the rest of the game by balancing around their stupid havoc modifiers. Most people don’t bother with havoc.
Just saying ds still nerf cause its broken in aurics, most us dont play havoc and the game should not be balanced around that mode
or by listening to locals and their special takes on balance, especially when they are prone to use big boy terms like “ruin” or “most people” for no good reason

And that was not a good idea IMO.
My gues is they are reworking not only Dueling Sword but more weapons that need a buff.
But besides that, those modifiers do need a rework, it forces players and developers in a certain balance that isnt healthy for the game nor should anyone wish that.
Not enough to even kill auric crusher.
