How have some things worsened?

I have a monster of a computer (it’s a dev desktop)
Game ran poorly in beta for what I have inside (60ish frames at most) with RTX and higher average settings.
Game is now running bellow 20 with similar settings.

Other thing: how has bleedthrough damage gotten worse? Despite patch notes?
T3 monsters dealing more damage through my shield than T5 during Open Beta

I’ve also had a dog run through a box (shadowplay didn’t reccord that sadly), ignore pushes, items levitating, and I’m sure I’ll find a lot more than this playing the released product.

Question is why? Why do you fix the fun stuff (like weapon traits applying on other stuff), but not the frustrating stuff?

It feels like I dropped from Release Candidate to Pre-Alpha. Performance dropped like a brick. I had to halve the resolution and go to mid quality to even be able to frigging move and the gameplay wasn’t pleasant. It was absolutely fine in pre-release beta, but now it’s pretty much unplayable.

The rig is i5-7600K @ 3.80GHz, Radeon RX 5600 XT

I dont like making a big fuss usually, but this patch is a MASSIVE dissapointment. Balance is even more borked than before. And my performance is worse too. I though the release patch would be a glow up for the game but it is currently a regression.

Also weapons shown in trailers are mysteriously absent. Probally going to be dlc(i hope not).

Im just so dissapointed right now.

I appreciate the gesture of implementing some community requests but the result is broken. I might write a negative steam review until the game is in a better state.

It runs like absolute dogshit, I’m barely able to keep 60fps on medium with dlss on a 3060 when there’s fighting.

Check the settings further down. I found that the update reset all my graphics settings, so I had to once again remove stuff like depth of field, subsurface scattering, motion blur, etc. Turning those down. Scatter density to 0.80 for the cpu’s sake, and screen space reflection down did wonders.

3070, and a i-5 10600k 1920x1080, borderless fullscreen
Holding 60 without issue on dlss in combat.

First thing I did today was reconfigure my graphic settings.

It runs worse, it runs worse than the open beta even.

I’m also experiencing much worse performances than during the beta, no idea what’s happening

I noticed that it also reset my cpu worker threads to 9, when my cpu supports 10, so pulled that up. And while they SAY they have disabled RTX, I noticed that in the launcher the auto setting tried to turn on RTX, check in there and just in case, set RTX to OFF in the launcher.

Could be a bug in there that makes the gpu act up. Worth a test just to prove irellevance.

Same here. I have gone through my settings top to bottom and the game is running significantly less well on the same settings than it was a day or two ago. Even on the lowest settings it is running like a complete bag of **** now. I am not sure what they have done but someone has really screwed up this update.

And just so I have the rest of my settings shown.

That should be all of them.

But just to confirm, check if the launcher is trying to set RTX to ON, and disable it if it is. It’s probably nothing, but confirming that it’s nothing is important for debugging.

They didn’t disable RTX for nvidia, just to clarify, they disabled it for amd and intel GPUs, at least that’s what I got from the notes.

In that case, there was an old bug in the beta where sometimes the settings would not transfer to the config file properly. When ingame, try turning rtx on and then off again to refresh. To confirm that RTX is truly off. Since they just did a setting refresh, that could be it. A ui display bug.

you should describe your bugs in the bug session. I’m not experiencing performance degradation of any sort. Actually it feels like it has improved, but I cant say its the game because I’m also trying new settings in my computer. Point is: Its smooth for me. Your complaint is too vague.

imo, he should delete config file and let the game generate a new one.

I had X fps, now I have X-Y fps with the same settings, not a lot to clarify I’m afraid.

Nothing changed besides the new patch.

There is definately something wrong with the new maps. It´s atleast what i figured out in kind of fps and lowering the settings didn´t help much.

You should definately try to avoid them. Stay on Khasma or Relaisstation if they´re up.

Not about the issue. About all the context where you are trying to run the game. Pc specs, settings, logs (as asked in the bug section), etc. Have you changed anything in your computer since yesterday ( or the last time you played) ?

EDIT: damn, what a mess. I was replying to OP then some people answered as if I was talking with them and I got confused lol.

And did you try turning rtx on, then off again to confirm the performance stays the same? (afterwards)

yeah, I saw some visual glitch, but no performance loss at my end.
