Hive Scum’s Blackout grenades can’t be recovered by Hyper-Critical instakills.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Equip Hyper-Critical, then equip Blackout grenades and throw them (to get <max capacity)
  2. Kill enemies, see buff bar’s tracker update based on kills
  3. Instakill human enemies with Hyper-Critical (crit hit’s total dmg >50% of enemy HP but <100% of enemy HP)
  4. See the buff bar tracker not update from the instakill

The weapon blessing “Haymaker” also has this issue.

Execution mechanics do not ever proc on-kill effects. The Haymaker blessing explicitly states this in its description.

Blinder/Blackout grenade generation is an on-kill effect. Therefore, Hyper-Critical and Haymaker executions will not count toward grenade generation.

This is not a bug.

I’m reporting it because it’s inconsistent, since Hyper-Critical’s instakills are able to activate Adrenaline Smiter (requires melee kills).

That is not the topic of this bug. If the bug is with an on-kill effect being granted on an execution, report the source of that on-kill effect as part of the bug, not a correctly functioning on-kill effect that does not proc on executions.

I’m reporting because it works inconsistently across conditions that specify “kills” as requirement.
