Hive Scum deluxe edition cosmetics are not available on character creation

Hive Scum deluxe edition cosmetics are not available on character creation unless you load into the game using the newly created operative and then going to customize in-game or loading on a different operative. Trying to use them sends you to the Hive scum cosmetic upgrade store page.

Hive scum introduction screen on game boot directs you to hive scum cosmetic upgrade/hive scum class store page even though you have the deluxe edition.

Both packs are available for purchase even though deluxe edition is owned and neither are in-cart exclusive. Same goes for Arbites still.

I do not understand how they’re not exclusive to each other since steam “purchase all DLCs” list includes both the classes, cosmetic upgrades AND the deluxe editions.

If you’re not going to handle it the same way you’re handling Vermintide cosmetic packs, could you at least please make them exclusive to one another? I was hoping that it’d not be the same as it was with the Arbites packs.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. buy deluxe edition
  2. create Hive Scum
  3. Be redirected to store page on trying to use any of the cosmetic DLC items in character creation unless you have loaded into the game on an operative beforehand

It’s my understanding that restarting Darktide should solve this. Keep us posted!

Cosmetics didn’t get unlocked until I loaded into the mourningstar. I did quit out mid-character screen to see if I bought the deluxe edition or just the normal hive scum DLC.
