Ranged hits with automatic weapons suffer from pretty egregious hit reg issues. There’s not a game that goes by without many, many instances of hitreg issues.
It’s quite obvious when that happens when shooting at flak-armor, because the associated ‘deathblow’ sound is very noticeable.
Or when you’re unloading your mag into a machine gunner point-blank but their health just stops going down for a few moments ? Like my bullets just vanished into thin air ?
I’d say overall, ranged targets often eat about 10-20% more bullets than they should before dying.
