Issue Description (Required):
When an Ogryn character uses his blitz “Bombs Away,” each bomblet explosion causes fps stall. Since it can release 9 bomblets with its supplementary perk, this can cause huge issues during gameplay. Each bomblet explosion causes the game to “pause,” if I may say. This doesn’t happen with any other blitz or explosive in the game. This is specific to the “Bombs Away” blitz for Ogryn.
Attempted Solutions (Optional):
In my goal to fix Darktide’s performance problems, I tried everything including switching OS. After switching to Linux, managed to eliminate the regular frame-pacing issues, which was a relief. Managed to fix meshes not loading properly by editing the config file and disabling mesh_streamer. This is the only problem remaining so I can finally enjoy the game without performance issues. I have tried lowering all settings to lowest and there isn’t much that I can try without some sort of config editing I think. Please, if there is any trick to resolve or at least band-aid this issue let me know.
I think the game does a lot of calculations for each bomblet and hence the hiccups. I hope the issue isn’t without a solution.
