Issue Description:
All 3 Helbores have this issue where they will stop shooting, or will get “hung up” where they will have a small pause where you cannot shoot for a few seconds usually when you are being shot at or suppressed, especially with gunners and reapers but it can happen under other scenarios as well. I do believe this is related to online play, as I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue locally in the psykanium and the creature spawner mod. This also never happens with other guns. This might have something to do with the charge mechanic from the Helbore.
Steps to Reproduce:
In a match, simply shoot at a group of gunners while they are shooting in your direction. Trying to shoot as fast as possible with Onslaught blessing seems to make it worse, where as slowing down your shots seems to help a little bit.
I can’t say anything about it happening when you are being shot at, but I have the same issue and it seems to appear randomly, whenever I am trying to shoot things in quick successions usually, sometimes it also just happens on the first shot after pulling the gun out though, so I really haven’t determined a pattern yet.
This is very frustrating though, it can be the reason you wipe a mission on higher difficulties, when you are aiming at an important special and releasing left click to shoot at them, only to then notice it didn’t even register you charging your shot. This practically makes it unusable for me, so please fix, Fatshark.
My assumption was that it happens when I am clicking too fast after a shot or any other animation like pulling the gun out, and it then doesn’t register my click. If my assumption is correct and this is actually the issue, then a simple solution should be so that the gun checks if I am holding down left click already, rather than only responds to the initial input.
Im not sure though, sometimes even when I slow down, it happens.
And while we are already talking about the Helbores, another thing about them is that you can’t cancel your charged shot. I feel like you should be able to by letting go of right click when aiming down sight.
Another thing that is supposedly a feature, but that I would still like to voice my opinion on, is the time it takes out the Helbores every single time. Its too long, imo. It would be nice if this animation was sped up a bit. But the two problems described above take priority, in descending order.
This is the issue, and its the same reason that holding down charge doesn’t register on suppression if the suppression broke the initial charge.
The Helbore charge can’t be buffered, so holding down left click during any state where the helbore can’t be charged without releasing and reholding when the Helbore can be charged will result in the Helbore simply never charging.
