Heavy Sword and Combat Axe special

I feel these 2 weapons specials really need to be buffed

I’ve been trying them both in Auric and Havoc alike, but their special attack are just, very clunky and bad

For the Heavy Sword, 10% Brittleness feels like nothing, seriously nothing, I think it should be buffed to 25% with how long the special takes to hit

On the other hand for Combat Axe, considering the weird angle it has I think it should also apply brittleness on hit just like Heavy Sword (ideally 25% like the proposed buff), or alternatively just speed up the animation by a considerable amount

These changes alone would make these 2 feel a lot better

I was so happy when they buffed the heavy sword but then I figured out that you can’t stack the 10% brittleness. It’s definitely an improvement but it still needs some love.

As for the axe, the uppercut is indeed bad, as you rely on landing weakspot hits, which is hard with a delayed uppercut and even if you hit it, it’s not as good as the tactical axes special which can even stagger mutants out of their charge.

Both weapons suffer from very mundane moveset too. Push attacks and special attacks should serve more of a purpose on all marks, so you feel like using them.

I find the hsword special to be very fluid and useful. It’s a pivot that lets you continue chaining single target heavies, or quickly throw out cleaving lights and then into the horizontal heavy. The 10% brittle isn’t even needed. It’s ok for the weapon to have lower carapace damage when it kills 5 ragers in one swing

I haven’t tried out the Heavy Sword after the buff, but the Combat Axe definitely has a special attack that’s not worth using.

Perhaps just let it stack twice and have applying a new stack refresh the duration for all stacks? I dunno maybe a bit too much busywork but sits better with me than an instant 25% brittle debuff with one special attack.

The big issue with HSword isn’t just the brittleness, but also the fact it lacks moves that have properties good for dealing with carapace. If possible, I’d like to make it so special chains into a stab attack with assassin properties.
