If the audio device is selected as RealTek Optical output, all audio will cut out save for the brass ejecting and hitting the ground. It was consistently reproduced and a video link is included below. This was Darktide version 1.2.21, Realtek Digital Output drivers are listed as 10.0.2262.1 (5/2/2022) with an MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi with Bios version 1.40 (08/11/2023), the latest non-beta bios as of this posting.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Change Audio from Default to Realtek Digital Output
  2. Play Ogryn Skullbreaker w/ any of the three heavy stubbers.
  3. Shoot and audio will cut out.

Hi!
I can confirm that I’m getting the same issue. Suspecting a bug in the sound engine. Luckily we’re about to update to a newer version that most probably will fix this issue. Keep an eye out for updated sound engine or similar.
