Havoc still needs adjustment ASAP

  1. Make the fading light modifier completely optional with a checkbox that only actual masochists would check.
  2. Get rid of the need for party finder and let people play the game in a normal manner.
  3. Make the three tries rule only apply to Havoc 35+

Just these three changes would bring literal thousands of people back into this game mode.

I understand Fatshark probably don’t want to make the individuals responsible for the party finders creation feel bad but at this point they are literally creating more of a hindrance by actually trying to FORCE people to use a party finder instead of just playing the game like normal. It is no ones fault but their own at this point - they shot themselves in the foot when they released the game and chose to wait years before releasing a party finder. Thus creating a core audience that is self sufficient and has absolutely no need or desire for party finder.

It’s actually hilarious and frustrating to watch this company FORCE people into using something that was added into the game way too late. Forced? Yes. You cannot play a game mode without using the party finder which means you use it or don’t play which means they aren’t allowing you to play a mode you paid for unless you use a secondhand system that was added into the game far too late into the games life cycle.

I am honestly curious - we have people in this forum that claim we have developers play the game. They claim they listen to the forums and follow feedback. What exactly kind of feedback do they follow? Where do they go for advice? As it stands right now - I see absolutely NONE of that happening, at all. We got a crafting change? Great - one thing out of the massive list.

Dueling sword was known to be OP on the one class that’s a caster/glass cannon - better give it to Zealot. New maps? New game mode? New content? Nope. Game mode is tied behind a party finder no one wants to use so the game mode might as well not exist. No new maps. No new content other than re-organizing skill trees and providing classes much, much needed adjustments.

Hud is still broken for psykers. Still can’t add a basic scope or flashlight to any gun unless designated even though modders solved this problem years ago. You guys aren’t just dropping the ball with this game, you’re making it so the ball is performing a vanishing act.

this checkbox already exists, its the “play havoc” button

agree about the rest though, havoc is designed to be as actively hostile to actually playing it as possible. lets be honest this game isnt that hard for 4 good players even at havoc 40. they keep making these “super hard” gamemodes for teams of 4 sweats who then just instantly go ahead and duo, solo, beat it with gray weps or without using ranged etc. and because they can’t figure out how to make the gamemode ACTUALLY hard they take out quickplay and add deranks so it’s no fun to play it with randoms to enforce the premade dynamic. stupid

ps: i queued h40 with randoms for fun before this update. now i dont even play h20 with randoms anymore because of the surrounding mechanics. my clearance is at 40 and i dont want to play the gamemode more because of the stupid mechanics.

OK but ObeseFish has NEVER gone back on these things. When Weaves completely tanked in VT2 they didn’t try to save it in any way. Zero attempts. And Havoc is just Weaves 2.0 in terms of implementation.

If they do significantly change how Havoc is implemented as a game mode, I’ll be the first to be surprised.

None o that would be a problem or a reason for player frustration, if players were simply allowed to select what map, base difficulty and the Havoc challenge level at will.

You were wrong on the itemisation and crafting, Fatshark. You are still wrong on this pretty crucial game design decision.
