Havoc Rewards

Why not add skins for weapons or clothing to the weekly rewards? A lot of people will try to get a skin just to show off. There’s no motivation to play the havoc mode just for the resources that can be easily obtained in regular mode.

I’d rather they didn’t do that because then the rewards would be the only reason for people to grief (those who aren’t ready to play Havoc queue up in Havoc), and Havoc isn’t the “real game,” so to speak.

The “real game” comes to a conclusion at Auric Maelstrom at this current time.

Havoc, at rank 35 or higher, is more of a throwaway game mode for those who enjoy facing unfair RNG and Carapace walls every meter while also fighting three Monstrosities and two captains at the same time.

Having skins and other rewards attached to completing Havoc would be unfair to everyone who is unable to beat high Havoc ranks, and honestly, I could care less what skin you have, dude.

Trust me; noone is looking at your character and what cosmetics you have on.

Skins for clout were last significant in vanilla World of Warcraft (OG), so you’re a few of years late to the party.

That’s not why people play Havoc, though. They play it for the challenge; that or completing the penances, but the non-finite motivation is to have a game mode where you can hone your -Tide skills in when you’re against the grain.

The only thing we need is the respective cosmetic reward for Arbites and Scum cuz currently only the 4 base classes have them

who in his right mind enters havoc and still needs gear/resources ?

as forced upon most of the mandatory loadouts for havoc 40 are each season, at least not every “hinz&kunz” stumbles into it looking for “rewards”

you want a reward thats worth “showing”?

clear it without a premade and without meta gear.

the only thing that matters is how you performed in the match.

up until then you “werent even there” :man_shrugging:

What skins did that have?

Please no. It was already a mistake adding penances for Havoc. Havoc should just be for the challenge itself. A large portion of the player base doesn’t go much past malice or heresy… You don’t want people who don’t have the appropriate skill level going into havoc just for cosmetics. Leave that game mode alone for the sweats.

I wouldn’t really care for it if it’s weekly especially since every week you start at h40, and if you made it available at the end of a season it’d probably be too long. Monthly? Maybe?

I don’t think fatshark have the freemium cosmetics available enough to really stimulate it, and rewarding players for clearing havoc would actually be nice as bragging rights if not for the fact that the stale meta since the start of 2.0 that clears it makes it meaningless.

If they actually cared enough to rebalance the game and introduce challenge beyond a slight mixup of the modifiers, I could totally see them doing seasonal rewards for the mode. Unfortunately they don’t release enough content nor introduce enough of a change to the season that you can’t just win farm especially with good players, and especially with cheese strats like stealth.

I did

I think I remember saying this in the past but I started playing on September 2024, 2 months previous to the release of Havoc

When it released, I had my Zealot maxxed out but literally no other class even created at that point

So Havoc weekly crate helped me with that, it would’ve been better if the mission rewards were better too

well, having seen my share of green weapons today in auric maelstrom, I can fully understand why people get picky when demotions are at stake.

randoms on an I II are “there” with little regard to “who and what”, but havov 35+ with such people?

giving you the benefit of the doubt i’d guess you still did “your part” but the general playerbase , being what they are, let lose on havoc without finished gear…. I truly get the resentment from thrown matches due to ill preparation.

besides, leveling and kitting out a character is way faster speeding through auric maelstroms, both in funds and resources.

15-20 minutes a run if everyone hoofs it and the payout gets you a maxed melee and ranged weapon in a day, two at most.

after setting for a standard loadout you can then “grind” at your leisure and bring something feasible to the table others don’t need to compensate for.
