Yes, it works 100%. No metas here with him. Just brute strength. I did beat Havoc-40 with all characters & admittedly, I had an easier time with getting through them with the other three, no doubt. For the purposes of people crapping all over Ogryn. I did it with him to prove a point that you can beat it with him with just plain old skill.

Neither. They’re just as bad as auric storm survivor or the twins secret mode insignia. I’ve already had 2 True Survivors in my havoc 40s today that absolutely shat the bed and won another free 40 clear with us.
The best way to see if a player is good is checking his build, level and havoc clearance. Generally the worse a player is the more he likes to flaunt his ‘achievements’.

You won’t play your best all the time. You act like you have to be 100%, 100% of the time. Even the best players succumb to Darktide’s RNG. The fact that anyone even owns hard mode insignia or the titles means they actually did some hard sht and completed it. 95% of the player base could never. I’m also not discounting people without the titles or flair or whatever because they can be just as good or even better. Titles are not the end all be all but the fact that if you have any of them means you’ve completed the hardest content Darktide has offer and that means some sht.
If 20% of the gaming population can max zealot, but only 5% of the population can max Ogryn, then that’s a design flaw surely?

I don’t. But I expect a modicum of base competence. No need to get defensive. I’m simply saying that among the people that flaunt all the try-hard titles a large portion is bad to the point that I wouldn’t consider them to be good enough to get it even at their 200%
This proves my point as it works the other way around as well. My 30-32 havoc missions were much much harder than the 4 40s I’ve done these past 3 days. Simply because of bad modifier RNG.
A lot of people got true survivor and havoc 40 by lucking out on very soft modifiers and map RNG. Which is why I say that the titles aren’t good when judging players.
If I see a h40 true survivor with the twins secret mode chain running an absolutely brain damaged build with a terrible setup and playing like a drunk 3 year old, Im not gonna chuck it off as “oh he must be having a bad day”. Some people are simply bad and Darktide is very lenient when it comes to handing out ‘try hard’ cosmetics.
This why I like the titles for completing almost all the penances (currently Ministorum Warden is the best you can get) but FS make them green?!
At least someone who has gone though almost all penances will have had to play all archetypes as all classes with loads of different builds. IE that person has seen a lot of the games variations and nuances and navigated them successfully. It will have taken a lot of blood, sweat, tears, hours and energy drinks to get those titles. A million times more than any other title.
Those penance titles are as close as you can get to someone saying they’re as versed in the game as is possible.

My point stands, while it can’t be cheesed like ASS, you can be carried through a 3 stacks casually on any 35 that has not blight spreads or any other difficult modifier.
Darktide has no title indicative of actual skill. Simple as.
The modifiers are completely artificial & b.s. of course it takes some skill & being super careful. I’ve seen tons of people go down & wipe. It just takes 1-2 people that go down & the run is over especially on these compared to regular games. Some are easier than others, yes, but as a whole you cannot cheese it literally at all. With most of the player base not being that great from over 2.5k hours of playing this is, that’s the most impressive you’re going to get from this game thus far. Not to mention doing these on some maps is a nightmare, I’ve done it.
No doubt… Some of the games on this were even harder than Auric Maelstorm with hard modifiers. Just think… If people have problems with Maelstorms already & ALT+F4. This, this will be a nightmare for those same people lol. This guy is on drugs. I’ll have whatever he’s on, please. He’s talking from the prospective of actually good players & metas. But still a stupid take in my eyes. Not everybody is John effing Darktide at this game lmfao. I’ve been watching a lot of videos & streams on Havoc & even in one of Telopots videos their team even wiped as well. So, come on… get off the crack, bruh. Imo Twins hard mode insignia is hard to cheese too. New players can’t really get this any more since no one plays Twins now, but usually if you find someone with the insignia they’re pretty good.
In my experience of people wearing it this is true more than not. When paired with somebody with this I did notice an increase in quality from them. That fight is pretty intense you actually have to do stuff in order to win unless you’re John Darktide as OggyLover says. Other than that hard to cheese playing with randoms, especially with randoms & not pre-mades. I cannot get over that bad take, it’s running rent free in my head lol.

Embarrassing. He’s correct, though… Even Telopots, the actual John Darktide even died playing one of these. It just proves it’s a bit hard to cheese it don’t you think? That’s what I like, you cannot cheese it because it means you need to get a good team to complete said mission to get the goodies & that’s how it should be done. I love it, so that certain titles will remain cheese free for the most part. Because with randoms it can be a nightmare after all & harder to obtain.
You might have just felt caught. It’s not a bad take. There are more than enough people able to casually duo a havoc 35 or twins. There are definitely a lot of people that carry their friends through some sht, I do the same.
They’re worthless as a measure of skill. Simple as.
Oh yea. Ogryn is designed in a completely weird and honestly bad way. Here’s the thing. For a huge chunk of the playerbase they literally cannot play him well because he punishes low skill gameplay. But for high skill players he’s kinda disgusting with how much of the game’s content he just turns off. Its hard to explain but all Ogryn needs is a duo partner to help with the few situations he suffers in (specifically nets) and he’s absolutely insane into every situation when played at high skill. He can go toe to toe with a chaos spawn or plogryn and literally not even take damage by just swinging heavies over and over. He can bowl through any group of enemies in the game, beat down all the elite mobs, push-shove ragers out of their attack chains, whatever. With just one emergency button friend he can hold W through the game and topscore. But he’s rough to play into clutches.
