Can we please get the AI Director to chill out with the mass gunner spam? My god.

Last match I played earlier today Dreg Gunners were popping up in groups of 5 every 30 meters or so with a handful of Scab Gunners speckled throughout. Match was a little light on normal shooters thankfully, but we also managed to get Mauler hordes with some Crushers sprinkled in; Oh, and the cherry on top were Mutants double/triple spawning overlapped with Bursters coming in waves. That run was WILD! Thankfully the team we had was solid; but I’ve seen competent players fold to the kind of spawns with which we were being inundated.

Director seems to get murder happy every once in a while and just pulls out all the stops.

Seriously, though: being able to manage hordes of shooters/gunners feels super important and it’s very easy to be overwhelmed by them.

I am fine with other elite spam but gunner spam feels awful.

It feels to me like this happens more with high int and similar modifiers. Last few base Damn games I played seemed to have a more reasonable ratio of gunner elites and shooters to melee elites. That may just be AI director being random though.

Form my anecdotal experience, on average Auric missions tend to spawn roughly 100 more ranged elites than normal damnation games (120-150 to 220-250).

Checks out, hi int mostly doubles wave sizes and lowers cooldowns on top of ambient spawning.
