Grenade Gauntlet has no real strengths

I use it in combo with MK VI cleaver. It’s a fun weapon, and with pinpoint target you can one shot few important enemy types. You can 2 shot Crushers with Shattering Impact and something like Valuable Distraction. I think I run it with Gloryhunter, because getting approx. 70 toughness on 1 shotting a ranged elite is funny.

Sadly GGs melee damage potential was never really realised. It should be a decent melee/ranged hybrid and it simply isn’t. Its melee animations also feel really bad and not impactful at all.

Its reload speed should get a buff, so its damage output, so you dont need a blessing to one shot certain enemies. A bit more default ammo would be nice too. Its melee should be able to compete with an average melee weapon. That would make it something more unique.

I feel the same way and agree with the bullet points from this post.

I think buffs to things like reload speed, mag size, total ammo, and maybe weapon swap speed so you can get the special action out quicker could be a way of touching up the weapon without pushing it too far. That would make the weapon more versatile and are pretty fair.

Alternatively, I would like harder hitting rounds or more ranged epicenter. But I can see how that’s a more a risky buff that could go too far.

Do you have time to discuss our lord and saviour knockback?

A friend of mine exclusively runs the Gauntlet (hah!) and disregarding any thought of breakpoints or skill ceiling, that thing is a menace. Even if it’s not outright killing, baddies are sent sprawling which imo is great.

So it’s got a good mix of things, jack of all trades and whatnot!

I do wish the melee was better though, just for flavour… time to get out the nails methinks
