Ever since 2 or 3 hotfixes ago, (I think ever since the game launcher started mentioning verifying game files) games have become unplayable due to what seems like network lag. In the beginning it was terrible, rubber banding as soon as I load into the Mourningstar.
But even now, in an actual game it’s fine until a horde starts. Then crazy lag and rubber banding. Doesn’t seem to happen to teammates (they look like they’re rubber banding to me but they go through hordes just fine).
If I stay in the game, it either goes back to normal when the wave is done, or I disconnect with an error 2001. No difference if I reconnect.
And yes I’ve checked my internet speeds and my FPS, they’re both fine. I’ve tried verifying game integrity multiple times, but it does nothing.
I just tried; you might be onto something maybe. I can’t play connected with hotspot but also not with wifi (I’m on ethernet). I just get stuck on the loading screen into the Mourningstar, after character selection.
Same problemo here. And i tried everything, nothing really works fine, but after last hotfix i can say that problem is way more tolerable now. Yes when horde spawns i lag but it…more faster now. And yes i have TONS of matches loses because i have caught bu trapper or mutie due to rubberbangin
It works fine with the mobile 4G. But fiber router it will always lag out and disconnect 2001 code specially when there is hordes. Already tried port forwarding.
DOM.RU (please dont look at ISP because this is not where the problem, i constantly play with peoples from america, europe, asia (and not only in darktide) and they have same problems with lags (an only in darktide we have problems)). We all have different ISP.
There must be a way around this. I have no issues in other games. When hordes spawns it straight pulls like 800 kbs or more of DL. Seems if it doesnt get the desired amount, it will enter the lag zone where enemies run of the map and then disconnects with the usuals 2000s errors

I’m positive it has to do with the hotfixes. I just tried playing after the latest hotfix and I managed to get through 3 games so far without this issue.
And it must be something about that previous hotfix that caused it because I’ve been trying to play games after each hotfix or update since then (including the Path of Redemption update) and no change, until now.
