Game is bordering on unplayable post patch

Honestly when people say this it’s usually exaggerated and something that can be handled, but this is a new low. Hitreg issues are happening more frequently, and I swear these mobs have gotten some shadow buff with their attacks having extended hitboxes.

But the main issue are the fps stutters. Sure we aren’t crashing like Monday, but these periodic frame drops are happening several times a game, every game. Even when limiting my fps it doesn’t help and it’s unbearable at this point. I have to get off the game because the fps spikes are giving me a headache with how frequent they happen.

AND YES I HAVE AN AMD CARD AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA

Playing on Linux works better with an AMD Card than on Windows at least for this Game

I have an AMD set up and don’t have that many issues with it, I occasionally notice jitters here and there when big spawns happen, but I’m unsure if that’s due to needing to update my mods for the update or not (I haven’t quite gotten to that point yet waiting to see what modes update themselves before doing so).

But I’d take a look at this post

and the subsequent post linked within it, if you haven’t already. For whatever reason Fatshark refuses to implement any form of check for this/will continually wipe these edited files every update (so you have to keep updating them, I put a shortcut on my destop and do so every time an update happens). But essentially they refuse to actually utilize the full extent of your AMD graphics card, and expect you to go into their files and edit the values to do so. They actively waste huge swaths of it by not assuming base 32/64 processing, and it’s drastically unfortunate.

So until they do so this has been a huge help, and I have the page bookmarked to continually edit these files every update. Doesn’t take tooo long, and drastically helps a lot from my experience. You can experiment with the ‘experimental changes’ too (I personally don’t use them as they caused some ‘interesting things’ to happen, but some have stated their success so you can try them too if not having them doesn’t fix it for you!).

Are you on European servers? I mainly play on US East and it is not too bad, but I played on European recently and it was REALLY BAD (I have played on Europe before patch and it was not like this).

And by bad I mean stutters and lag (not latency) and hit reg issues.

Though overheads feel like they are connecting when they shouldn’t sometimes on East too.
