Recently got back into Vermintide 2, devasted yesterday when it started crashing. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, no change. Deleting the save gets me past the game start screen, but re-downloading it from the cloud confirms the save is the issue. Im fairly certain that starting from the top is the only option, but I figured it’d be worth checking in case I could save 1000 hours of effort.
If you play in Online mode, then your progress is stored safely on our servers, and deleting your local save data should resolve the corruption issue without anything lost (other than custom settings, and Offline mode data)
If you play in Offline mode, regrettably any progression will be lost with local data deletion. If this has become corrupted, unfortunately there isn’t any way to restore this.
Phew, nice! In which case, yes, delete your local save data and don’t restore from the cloud. Your progression is on our servers, so you’ll just have to re-do your custom settings.
