A few smaller issues in the game I feel needs a fix and shouldn’t be that hard to actually correct.
Starting off with the color of a location ping, every player has their own color, which is used to quickly identify who they are. This is something that should be applied to the location ping aswell, right now if anyone pings a location, you’ll see your own color and not whoever actually issued the ping.
Moving on to communication pings such as “I need ammo” or similarly. If someone pings that they need ammo, I really don’t need to see it in whatever language they have their game set to, and I would need to see it in the language my game is set to.
- For instance, if I play with someone having their game in russian or polish, it really won’t help not being able to see what they’re pinging or trying to communicate because their game is set to another language. Instead if their ping would show up as english(my chosen language) for me, I would instantly be able to know what they need help with and what they’re trying to communicate and thus improve the teamwork we can have with less focus on minor unimportant things that shouldn’t even work the way they currently do.
Sounds, specifically of Ragers, they seem to be non-existant? Even the Scab Ragers seems to have zero armor clanking or anything giving a sound que that they’re around or actually engaging you. This I feel is an oversight or something not working properly since the Plague Monks and Savages both got unique sounds to make players aware of their existance.
- Having Ragers essentially hidden in a horde, without making any sounds other than the actual warning/being hit sound we get from any melee attack, there’s a big lack of a tell they’re there.
Another issue I’ve noticed is the visual clarity of certain things, namely the Veteran Sharpshooters ability in combination with Flamers or Fires in general. Psyker is fine as it’s blue/white and thus doesn’t really clash. However Zealot Flamers usually covers most of your screen with orange flames, making you unable to see basically any marked target with your ability until the fires dies down.
- There is a work around with teamwork and doesn’t really prove any issues in a premade group, but in random public lobbies where everyone kinda plays for themselves it’s a bit harder to play around. Not sure what I’d suggest as a solution here tho but if anyone has any ideas or if people think it’s fine then by all means do share your POV in a comment, would love to hear more perspectives on this
