“Additionally, the difficulty system has also been overhauled. You now unlock new difficulties by completing missions rather than leveling up your characters. You must prove your skills at your current maximum difficulty to unlock access to the next one. We intend to create a motivation for new players to master the game step by step, and for veteran players to feel assured that their teammates have earned the right to be there.”
Wow, who would of thought this day would come. Definitely a step in the right direction
A bit late , underminded by the major of the player base having opt outs to skip, so nothing changes other than gate keeping new players. But yes a step in a direction they probably havnt thought about yet.
Sounds like simply passing one tier of mission X number of times to allow access to next tier. Could achieve that by being dead the whole mission whilst rest of team finishes it.
Unless they make it Auric Exemplar style where you must not die straight for 10 missions.
From an old patch they made ALT+F4 Auric Survivor reset progress unless you rejoin. Some people still alt+f4 Maelstrom, guess they don’t read patch notes.
Honesty I am more impressed with 10x Auric missions than 5x Maelstrom. Shows consistency.
With the patch that resets on alt+f4, I think 10 missions without death is a good time to move up a tier.
Some may not like this and prefer by mission completions and die all the way through.
well, pretty bummed that us people with the true levels in the hundreds or thousands have to play malice first apparently and don’t have the full tree available from the start.
any idea how quick that should go?
