Talking about which anyone know if the heavy attack one is actually power now or still just bonus damage?
Still IMO a wrong nerf… that’s the message I’d like arrived to Fatshark, and not “meh it’s ok since not huge”
Also because, on the same tier, there is the “one-kilk on crit” talent wich always has been a very valid alternative. 30% power talents has never been mandatory
The real problem on that tier is the “power on heavy attack” talent, wich also if buffed to 30%, will imo remain an unsed option
Nice question but honestly dunno
Why do you say so? It’s the talent I’ve been running with even before the buff, mostly because I aim to use the bretonnian longsword as my main weapon there.
I’m not an expert on breakpoints, so I’m not sure exactly how much you need but it always seemed to me like a reasonable alternative to the talent they now nerfed
Because I noticed that weapons like BretSword or Mace&Sword rely both on light and heavy attacks, so the overall damage is higher with the stacking power talent wich is general
While ExeSword wants the kill on crit talent
Then dunno, depends on the playstyle too… if you, with the BretSword, use only the heavy attacks, it can be worth
But then how about your secondary weapon? Do you use only heavy attacks with it too?
p.s anyway I’m not saying “I’m right, you’re wrong”, it’s just to talk
You know that sword also have very solid push attack and normal attack sequences right.
In fact you’re supposed to mix heavy and light attacks for best results. Light attacks are highly effective at dealing with light hordes and a combination of push light and heavies is what’s used against armoured heavies
Yes absolutely, I don’t mind it.
Those are valid points.
Personally, thanks to the secondary weapon, I never bothered with mixing my attacks: if there’s a small amount of enemies I do heavy attack after heavy attack, if there’s too many I bring out my shield (and bret sword) and spam a mix of light and pushes. It takes a bit but it works, a horde is a horde is a horde.
I chose the heavy power because that’s what I use for one on one confrontations and that’s when I really need the breakpoints (unsure if I need them at all, but it’s likely).
It might not be meta but I find it solid.
Even if I don’t feel like the nerf was necessary I believe the reason for it (as stated) was precisely that the other option was a bit too easy to get and too versatile. They seem to have gone the same route, with the same numbers for BW’s sooth shield.
That nerf wasn’t needed either, but the reason is again, I think, how easy it was to have it up.
Understood. Thanks for sharing!
