Havoc isn’t a basis for balancing and never should be.
I mean yeah, there’s a pretty big gap between reality and fantasy here. Just my personal explanation for why a knife/DS would have any kind of armor penetration. I mean, the strike is Uncanny. I don’t think FS is using HEMA rules to craft their melee weapons.
A Zealot Sword where the special switches to a Half-Sword or Mordhau grip would be pretty toit tho.
I thought that worked well for the heroic fantasy of VT2, vs. low tech armor.
WH40K is more fantasy than sci-fi … but it’s more pulp or space-opera than fantasy. Power swords and force-weapons? Sure. Knives and sabers? I’d rather not have them be the go-to anti-armor solutions.
(But how about a force-dagger? And … I dunno … a rapier with some sort of high tension spring …)
Oh, no, they definitely shouldn’t be. Not arguing otherwise, just giving an explanation.
he does have a point tho. 24 DD stacks on the finesse weapon with the crit damage, chance, finesse ult makes sense it would do damage. im sure deimos would do serious damage with that many buffs
If FS wants to keep DS and knife’s ability to kill crushers (even if tuned down), that’s fine. Equipping them magically turning your character into Sonic the Hedgehog capable of kiting indefinitely is the real issue.
It honestly might be even more broken on Psyker than Vet or Zealot on non Havoc modes TBH. Regardless it is insanely broken on all 3 unless you are unfathomably bad at the melee combat in this game.
Hi, is there any update regarding this? I would love to know if dueling swords in their current form are here to stay.
