What it says on the tin. I love Darktide’s core gameplay and build experimentation with the new skill trees seems fun, but every time I even think about how much time and inane bs will go into acquiring a large, fully featured armoury of worthwhile weapons and curios across four different characters to enable said experimentation I just feel a terrible wave of fatigue roll over me and don’t play the game, and hadn’t for months prior to this patch. While not playing the game I did not purchase any cosmetic items.
So yeah, I’ll pay you 30 bucks (Australian, if it’s more convenient to just round up to $19.99 US I’m happy to accomodate), and you can just give me 380 stat rolls on all weapons that I craft/have available to purchase (the distributions can still be random, I’m not asking for the world here), no locks on perks and blessings and access to all blessings to pick from. I’m happy to still pay crafting resource costs too, don’t want to put too much strain on you guys with implementing this.
With that I think I would really be unreservedly enjoying myself in Darktide, and playing it again, the way I did with Vermintide 2. I also spent a decent sum of money on DLC and cosmetics for Vermintide 2. Anyway, give it some thought.
Ya’ll really gotta stop enabling these people, this mentality is why they get away with putting in crap systems like these in games and not going out of business for it. Just start whinging with the rest of us in the crafting thread, instead of calling for things to get worse.
People aren’t dogs. Try quoting some 21st century science instead of quoting disproven 20th century stuff.
Here’s a concept that actually does apply to the problem being discussed:
IE Companies get away with this BS behaviour because neither the market or the govt has had the balls to punish them for it. So we all continue to get reamed with the strap on, and some of you ask for more (I don’t mean to kink shame, but some consent prior to the reaming would be nice).
They’re already price gouging us for cosmetics and now you’re asking for more opportunities to give these greedy bastards money? The consoomer brain is diseased.
In a way I agree, the grind is so idioticly sh-t that if the game was good enough I would consider this.
But then again, I also REALLY WANTED Krieger skins and Iam not buying these overpriced abominations that ‘are so high quality they needed extra time’
I’m not interested whatsoever in cosmetics, but I’d like to reward Fatshark for all the fun I have with their game. So I agree with the original poster: I’d pay money to be exempted from interacting with the so-called “crafting system” to make the weapons and curios I want.
