Extended Arbites Gameplay

I guess it’s because the operator didn’t use any tagging (so they didn’t even try to command it)

Yeah, this would have been a million times better if they had just shown all abilities and blitz inside the psykanium tbh maybe with one of the lead combat designers as VO explaining how and why they made their choices when creating this class

Hopefully @Hank_jw has us covered for that. He had us covered for the Ogryn’s Heavy Stubbers. I’ll keep in contact with him about what he’s allowed to tell us.

Personally? I would’ve showcased Damnation Gameplay and then rotated between ALL of the Players to showcase ALL of the Abilities, Blitzes and Weapons. This showcase being done in Sedition makes Darktide look BORING, and I’m now convinced there’s an Arrowhead mole within Fatshark’s marketing team.

Their marketing team has always been pretty questionable despite or because of having 7 executive positions listed for it.

I have no plans on making Arbites content but plenty of others will have you covered, don’t worry about it.

Community playtesters, at the very least, were not used in the making of this video. Could be an internal Fatshark tester or dev but I have no idea. Not one of us, at any rate.

If this were playtester footage, it would’ve been Havoc 40 gameplay lol. Fatshark did that once before, it looked like this: https://youtu.be/oUzMxKl9qqM?t=60

LOL I certainly hope not, it seems a bit obvious TBH, but still.

Even the “weaker” testers don’t play that low difficulties. :<

Are you saying there’s a secret traitor 'eretic in our midst?
Hmm…sound familiar. Hey, a new vendor servitor, neat!

Sorry, I’m not a native speaker, so I used DeepL and ChatGPT for translation and made a mistake. What I meant was that it’s not a tester’s gameplay, but gameplay footage from a Fatshark devs.

The problem is not the bolter, the problem is the way Fatshark balanced the game by spamming carapace armored targets. Bolter before the carapace wasn’t meta at all, it was a niche pick only used to melt bosses but the power creep of the talent tree made the game too easy and Fatshark “fixed it” by sending waves of carapace enemies that are slow, have a lot of health and are completely immune to most weapons.

Nerfing the bolter (or any of the currently meta weapon for the matter) without addressing the carapace spam will not make other weapons viable, it will only make the game more tedious because bolter, plasma and dueling sword will still be the only way to deal with carapace armor but less effective

It would have permitted to show us… Arbites gameplay.
I doubt I will be able to kill a crusher like I have seen in this video.
And the number of enemies is very low.

Most games have extremely curated gameplay release trailers that dont show high level play and, contrary to whats shown here, usually show an “on-rails” experience that barely matches the real in-game experience.

This is a non issue that people are nitpicking at.

I’m nitpicking because they didn’t let me play and have fun with the Arbites! :smiling_face_with_horns:

When I have seen that they have awaken the DH and took the risk to walk closer to it… I wonder how the DH has not attacked them.
Maybe I am wrong, but in such situation I am pretty sure that the DH would attack my team. This point made me doubt that we are even on a regular damnation.

@Ralendil
I think they are on Malice or maybe low intensity Heresy from what I can tell.

There is a fair bit of leeway so long as you dont stay close to the DH. Doesnt the aggro range increase the more it aggros?

Not long now :stopwatch:

when you awake the DH, the range increase. I really think that, on damnation, if you do that, awake it and walk so close of him, you will aggro it.

It is probably a branch build where they can customise the enemies etc.

And totally agree that it’s a non issue. People will moan about anything I swear

Having played mostly Heresy, I have seen people get away with much worse .
I might be misremembering but iirc, higher difficulties both increase the DH radius and speed the aggro radius increases too. Can anyone confirm mostly out of curiosity.

I think the gameplays fine. For anyone thirsting for more wait until release and see what peeps like ChocoB etc play it like.

Yes and no! The shells on the top of the shotgun are for the Special attack, and using it will visually consume the shells! Picking up ammo replenishes both your normal ammo and your special shells.
