Could you meditate about a way to exchange components plz? Some plasteel for diamantine and vice versa…

This has been asked for multiple times, but it would be a pretty pointless change, since it would effectively just remove the existence of diamantine from the game.
They should instead change the crafting system so that there is actually a separate use for diamantine and plasteel.

You need diamantine so why that would remove it?
Every single thing that you can spend diamantine on, also costs plasteel.
If you try to spend your diamantine, you will run out of plasteel first.
The only reason to exchange ressources, would be to turn diamantine into plasteel.
All diamantine that you spend, is spent together with plasteel.
Any diamantine that you can not spend because you ran out of plasteel, would be converted into plasteel, or spent in combination with the plasteel that you just got after converting some of your diamantine.
Diamantine would effectively just be plasteel and therefore it would effectively be the same as if diamantine did not exist in the first place.

The problem is I ran out of plasteel far away before diamantine while it was a pain to collect diamantine before.^^
But I understand…
