Having suffered my sixth consecutive defeat on H30 with the Pox Gas (Tox Bomber) modifier, I dug into game log fun-databases and witnessed something amazing. This modifier (combined with Emperor Fading Light II) seems to be almost unbeatable! On one site with at least 347 mission’s logs (successful runs only), there was only a single H30 game with this modifier. On another site with at most 680 mission’s logs (mostly successful ones), there was again only one successful H35 game with this modifier. As the great russian sage Smaev says: “Now think about it!”
While everyone complains about the game becoming incredibly easy, I see something else entirely: the insurmountable barrier of H30 with Pox Gas (Tox Bomber), and an even higher barrier at H35. Sure, these rank missions can have more forgiving modifiers, but hey, I’m just lucky like that
