I open the Commodore’s Vestures > Get Aquilas > Select Amount > Communicating With Fatshark Store
And it just never ends, I have to Alt+F4 and reopen the game to play again.

Another ticket fixes the issue by opening the Steam overlay.
Steam overlay doesn’t open in Darktide.
Confirmed that Steam Overlay is enabled both in Steam Settings and Darktide Properties, also tried turning it off and on again
Verified Game Files
Closed Discord
Tested that the overlay works in other games, which it does.
Confirmed that I’m using the right keybinds to open the Overlay (Shift+Tab)

Hi Lissard, indeed the reason why you’re unable to communicate with the store is due to the overlay. With that in mind, Steam Support may be best equipped to assist with this. Some additional solutions can be seen here:

Well if anyone else runs across this problem in future.
I proceeded to reinstall Darktide and Steam.
Went through all the troubleshooting in the above linked Steam Support article.

Turns out deleting LD_PRELOAD=“” %command% from my launch options fixed it.
And I feel dumb af.
