Easiest part of ''Assassination'' missions is the ''Boss''

I think we can all agree that after itemization update, it is time for an overhaul for the boss fights.

I think assassination boss fights should require more than ‘‘let’s all fire at this guy at once for 30 seconds and it’s done’’.

Simply adding more mobs won’t do good either.

Honestly I am not sure how they can make boss fights more exciting, but I am sure Fatshark can come up with a good idea if they wanted.

I don’t know. I can survive solo on a map for sometime to clutch revives, even with monsters (chaos spawn is probably the hardest here).

But with bosses? If all their attention is on you and there’s no one else to grab the aggro, it’s very difficult to revive the whole team with mobs and the boss focusing you.

They used to blow all your toughness when they do the shield burst which will kill people real quick if they didn’t anticipate, but somehow it seem to stop being a thing when Karnak twin patch hit.

Maybe both scab captain and Karnak twin’s shield have the same property and they changed it to make the twin fight less oppressive in hard mode.

I like the idea of a harder boss, and in fact a harder end-sequence to all the levels (except Hab Dreyko, which is almost perfect imo).

But I think the game needs to balance this with respect for players’ time.

You’ve just done a 25-30 minute level clear, with no saves, no time-out or pause. That’s a lot of time to invest. Add on a really hard boss fight at the end of that, and people are just going to get hugely frustrated if they’re beaten at that stage.

Bigger boss fight, sure. But quicker levels maybe?

This change was a byproduct of the enemy flame behaviour rework, flames used to instantly delete all toughness, but when that was changed to the current ramp up model, the shield explosion was changed as a byproduct.

alright, so, i think that the bosses should be reworked to have multiple phases. let me explain.

for phase 1, its exactly what we have now, just shoot to kill, easy as can be. phase 2 however, is where things get fun, we now have to run after the boss that is throwing grenades and shooting at us from afar and is trying to call for more forces to back them up. as for phase 3, they are now on a turret after running away, a turret that has a shield and must be destroyed via fire from the air, smoke bombs are used to paint the target for the missiles and after the turret is down, we execute the boss with their own sidearm (which is a stub pistol) and all is well.

FS needs to give us more assassination bosses and add behaviors per lifebar thresholds.

I find that there’s only 1 scenario where a wipe at the boss is possible, and that is in a duo I-II or I-II-V-E-G and there’s multiple bosses in the arena.

Yeah, the hardest part will always in specialists and ranged enemies. Even during Orthus offensive. But that’s fatshark’s common practice, you can see it in vermintide, so put our hopes in the new guys entered fatshark, old ones don’t able to do it.
