I would love this and a tac axe + knife combo. Or just make heavy sword not hit like a wet noodle sometimes. (Disclaimer : I play for fun not for the sweat)

Why aren’t there dual wielded of X + Y weapon:
- Cause they’d require new animation (So it’s Dual wield, or new weapon family).
- Cause they’d probably have an issue with the cosmetic system (Unless they’re nice and have the cosmetics from the 1h be used for the dual wielded).
- Cause they’re less interesting mechanic wise.
I do want some dual wielded kits, but not really with Heavy Swords though.

Sword + Axe could definitely be cool and fun though (cough axe and falchion reskin cough)

You could also do Bully Club and Cleaver for Ogryn as an analogue to Mace and Sword? Devil’s Claw and Combat Blade would be an insane Dual Wield as an analogue to Sword and Dagger. We already have Dual Daggers with Hive Scum’s Dual Shivs, obviously.
There are MANY potential options; the real question is which Classes are allowed to use Dual Wields. Like, there’s a bit of… how to say… ambiguity on who can use what in some areas? For example, Zealot doesn’t have any Dual Wields nor Shield Weapons thus far, but there’s still a question of whether that’s a matter of those just not being made yet, or Fatshark/GW simply not wanting them to use Dual Wields and/or Shield Weapons and so on.

Different attack patterns, there are “normal” weapons that I do think should have paired/dual wielded versions:
- Catachan’s Paired Sword & Dagger; Dual Dagger; Dual Swords → Set around Kerillian’s multiple paired weapons
- Ogryn’s Club&Knife (Kruber’s Sword&Maul)
- Dual Revolver
- Dual Laspistol
- Dual Bolt Pistol
But Axes tbh; other than the Chain Axes (either dual or paired), shouldn’t really be spent time upon.
Dual melee weapons and pistols should have been a thing for default classes since launch, inluding Ogryn.
Locking dual wielding behind paid DLC class is just lazy, not to mention how bad the variety there is for Scum.

I do see the appeal but they aesthetically just look too clunky to have one in each hand for me. Maybe with some sleeker less bulky models I could be convinced.
It is an idea I’ve mulled over before and it does tickle me to think of a Zealot going “I latch both my weapons into you and either you die or I die and there is NO in between”.
Given how popular dual weapons were in Vermintide 2, I kind of wonder if GW is being anti-fun. “The imperial guard doesn’t use dual weapons!”
Cuz they immediately gave them to the Hive Scum. So they can and are willing to do it. And ofc Arby with the shield (tho I agree that Zealot needs some shield+ weapons).
Dual Taxe would go so hard on Martyrdom or IJ Zealot. Side note, only Zealot should get dual wield.

Special attack is grabbing an Elite (or the Zealot) and swinging him around as a 2-handed weapon, for good monster and AP damage. (I’m now boycotting the game until this is added.)
