its the brain burst talent that has a 10% chance to proc bb on attacking an elite/ special. just killed myself on a burster. WHY IS THIS SO. pushing shouldn’t have a small chance to kill you, shaddap about just don’t double push bro. stfu gtfo

What do you mean by double pushing? As in literally just pushing twice in a row quickly? Or do you mean like force sword push attack?

I’m guessing it’s just the block push, as I’ve noticed that can trigger the brain burst. Might be a force weapon specialty, where you have the force push.

Thankfully I’ve never had the displeasure of having it trigger against a poxburster!

Ok yeah it definitely shouldn’t trigger on push, that’s silly. “Double push” was throwing me off here. Cause if they meant push attack then yeah, obviously KF SHOULD proc on push attacks.

yeah the push follow from force swords is an attack that always hits weakspots and does 1 damage. you can build uncanny strikes stacks and proc other on hit talents like ones dealing with criticals with this move as well.

as for pushing pushing, haven’t been able to replicate on burster…I guess I should spam pushes in the psych on the other enemies too, but I don’t feel like it. afaik they fixed kinetic flayer proccing on non taggable enemies so I’m not sure what the issue is.

Yeah as mentioned above its considered as an attack in the game code, so it triggers KF. Watch with these fun PB pushes…

I think there are some curious behaviours of special attacks on other weapons too.

For that same reason you can also overload and get perils knockdown if you do a block-push at 100% peril. That 1 dmg “attack” generates peril, so triggers overload if you’re already at 100%.

Kinda silly imo.

On a related note, Kinetic Flayer can also trigger on soulblaze dot ticks, so with wildfire and Perilous Combustion talents, you can get accidental burster procs totally outside your control if they’re near dying mobs. I reported this as a bug months ago and it was acknowledged.

Interesting, I notice it also procs on bleed (Bolt pistol blessing in this case).
