It was interesting when the mission first came out with all the lore/events leading up to it. But the mission is starting to really show its age. You only do it once or twice then forget about it.
Just having the hard mode be something you have to actually que for would fix many of the issues at the start of the mission where some want to do hard mode and some have never even done it a single time. You are not going to complete hard mode with pubbies who have never before done it.
With coordinated team its relatively easy fight even on hard mode.
Scab are the grey Guardsmen. They have their Mauler.
Dreg are the yellow cultists
Ah great thanks. I get them mixed up because the yellow guys are all scabby so I associate them with the word scab
But the equivalent of a mauler would be cool for them.
I really liked it. The main issue I have is that its hidden away in a corner, so it never comes up in quickplay. People more or less just did their penances and the whole special assignment thing just sort of got shelved in a corner. I wish the twins still showed up on regular missions, though, that was really fun and I feel like not using it is a missed opportunity.
That would actually be quite cool if they were a special condition on other maps.
But I think their difficulty would have to be curtailed significantly as its way too heavily reliant on communicated teamwork - something that is rarer than hens teeth in this game unfortunately.

This mission has the added advantage of quick Missions and Monstrosities for Melk contracts. You appreciate this more the more chars you have and want to build up some Melk Money to farm blessings. I’m glad its still an option. YMMV.

Its the same disconnected searchbase issue WoM suffered from. Actually playing the level is for little more than remembering the good times where they roamed levels individually. The boss fight is OK, but has a lot of bad Darktide syndrome throughout it (poor visuals exacerbate sound issues).
As for new enemies, I’d think the plague bearer skulls on maps would be a pretty decent clue as to them being on the docket. Big beefy cultists seem out of the question for the origins of said cult (hive workers/citizens), and they’d fit the bill perfectly.
It’s barely a boss fight, the elite spam is more threatening than the bosses.
Those mines that instantly reduce your toughness to zero are pretty annoying, given that you can’t ever see much of what’s on in that room as it’s dark, full of gas and enemies…
Oh and of course the trappers who can shoot you from anywhere and through absolutely everything.
and then there´s a penance for not setting them off.

That one penance about avoiding mines should be specific to each player and not the team at large. Otherwise it’s basically impossible to complete, or entirely impossible if there is even one bot.
