Do what all of the ‘badasses’ on here do, just hang in the back and don’t draw attention by killing too much. As long as somebody else is doing more damage than you are, you’re off the hook. The AI will turn everything on them and leave you alone.
He was replying to someone else. I know the UI of the forums is a bit opaque, but the reply arrow top right of your post means you were replying to someone.
Or they’re just not that great at the game, and then when they’re sitting back shooting things in higher difficulties they’ll just get overwhelmed by ambients and horde spawns due to lack of situational awareness. These people aren’t evil, you just joined a game they had already lost.
