Developer Udpate - April 17

I’m not sure if this combination helps much if it wipes half the lobbies which are played. But the idea has actually something interesting. If Fatshark wants to help us in this endevour they could give us indeed a Weekly Horde mutator. However, I would suggest something like:

  • First mutator: Send in the next wave
  • Second mutator: Send in the next wave
(Optional third mutator): Send in the next wave

Back during one of the horrible game iterations (something along 1.6) there was a bug which could cause the stacking of the horde mutator so this “should” theoretically be possible. Twice is something which the average player should be able to handle and is safer then Tzeentchian Twins. Optionally, we could get “Send in the next” wave thrice but it will start to become overwhelming for the average players (and it may start frying pcs). But a triple horde mutator does sound interesting.

We heard you like hordes? So we put some hordes into your hordes.

Too bad send in the next wave the increased specials mutator has been broken since WoM.

Well it didn’t really add anything to the hordes, but both Send in the next wave and Seek and destroy multiplied in the sense that there was non-stop horde waves or a ridiculous amount of specials spawning before the game decided you need a break. Good fun for sure, especially if you kept stacking a deed with both modifiers.

As a reference point the legend hordes used to consist of three waves and the special spawns used to be four in a row or as a cluster before pause. With deed stacking you could get infinite hordes during a map and I counted 30+ specials in a row before a pause. I would definitely not call that part of the game a horrible iteration though, since it was such good fun.

More like the devs keep promising more cosmetics but never give us a damn thing.
