so some of my friends who play veteran, they said their voice becomes muffled if they wear a certain helmet with full cover? is this true that some head gear has a voice filter effect?

which made me wonder, i bought this helmet for my psyker

it is literally a full gas mask, why it doesn’t have the voice filter effect? will the dev add it in someday?

I think it does or is meant to. My friend plays Psyker and wears this and their voice is changed by wearing it. Maybe a bug?

ah shoot, ok it’s a bug then if I don’t have the same filter effect ever, how to report this to the team? will they check this forum tab?

You could flag the OP and under “something else” write something along the lines of “Move to bugs please.” That would get a mod’s attention.

So I have the same bug. I can hear other people who wear this Rebreather have the voice filter effect, and when I asked my friends if my voice sounded filtered they said yes it does, but on my end is isn’t filtered and also VERY quiet. I reported it in the voice bug post, hopefully it gets picked up asap like the beta mask as this is literally a paid cosmetic and I’d imagine if I paid for something it should function properly.

Thank you for your report! Could both of you give us some console logs for a session where you played with this equipped, as well as your launcher log file?

These may be found by doing the following:

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here

Hello, thanks for the response. I already posted these in another topic in the bugs section, I’ll link you my original comment which contains logs ( I believe they were when I had the Rebreather equipped, I linked multiple just in case)

Also having this issue. Others can hear the muffled voice, but on my end there’s barely a difference. Additionally, the voice is completely unchanged for everyone when using the class ability (Psykinetic’s Wrath).

after the patch this helmet still bugged with the voice filter, i hope the dev work on it soon
