Are you able to try cleanly reinstalling the driver instead?:
Getting this exact issue as well.
Clean installed previous driver and one before it does not fix. Nor does checking file integrity of the game. Also tested with other more intensive games like Cyberpunk as well as FurMark with no issue.
Have over 250hrs in this game and this is the first time having any issues.
I think this may actually be related to the Hotfix.

Ive done a ddu clean install and still ran into the issue.
When I open the game again I have a crash report ready to go.
Ive also back revved to an older version and it’s still happening. My next step is a clean install of windows.

I’ve done a DDU clean uninstall then reinstalled va direct driver and had the same issue.
I’ve also downrevved to an older version and have the same issue.
I’ll keep an eye out to see if this starts happening in other apps, if so it’s a driver/card issue.

I have a solution but in my case it’s not going to make many folks happy: I had a malfunctioning power supply.
Once i swapped it out my black screens went away.
If anything double check your connections and make sure your cables are seated correctly. Not saying there aren’t other issues but this fixed mine.
