Crashing after launching game, After pressing "Play" from the launcher

Issue Description (Required):

After launching from steam and clicking on the “Play” button, the game will launch a black screen and immediately crash back to desktop.

It is already resolved because windows Smart app control popped up telling me it was blocking the app after a few tries of verifying the files and a reinstall.

Has this happened before?

Any reason the smart app control would flag darktide?

I did end up turning SAC off because I’m fairly confident everything is legit, since it is all through steam. Just wanted to ask the questions to see why it would flag it.

Hey Reap, it’s nothing to worry about, I think the update is simply unfamiliar to SAC.
