Constant Crashes to Desktop/Main Menu - Need Help!

Hi Fatshark Team,

I’ve recently come back to playing after a two-year break, and unfortunately, I’m experiencing constant crashes to the desktop and sometimes to the main menu. This happens very frequently, and it’s making the game almost unplayable. Before my break, I had no issues at all, but now, it’s a recurring nightmare.

The crashes occur for various reasons, though I can’t remember all of them. Some of the errors I’ve encountered include:

“Server Error”
“Connection Timeout”
“Backend Error”
“Couldn’t Resolve Host”
I’ve tried a variety of troubleshooting steps:

Disabled antivirus
Changed DNS
Cleared DNS cache
Verified Steam game files
Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
Repaired EAC
None of these attempts have worked, and I’m incredibly frustrated at this point. Every time the game crashes, I lose progression, and rewards are gone, which is extremely disappointing.

I’m hoping to find some help or a solution here, because I really want to enjoy the game again, but right now, it’s just impossible to play. Any advice or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Your logs show connectivity errors with requests to the backend timing out, though it’s unclear why.

I appreciate you’ve already tried a few of our usual connectivity error solutions, however I recommend running through all possible solutions here:
