Sorry to hear this.
There aren’t any well known offendors that I can mention unfortunately, it tends to vary a lot!
What I can suggest though is to try the following -
Perform a ‘Selective Startup’, which can help to identify if a background application is the cause:
- Press the Windows key
- Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
- On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
- Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
- Reboot your PC
- Launch Vermintide 2 as normal
If the issue no longer persists after having performed the Selective Startup, you will need to re-enable each of your usual background applications one-by-one until it reoccurs, to determine which is the culprit.
Sometimes Anti-Virus/Firewall can also be an issue. Please ensure you have appropriate Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions in place for both Vermintide 2 and Easy Anti-Cheat:
You’ll need to add the following:
- vermintide2.exe in
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries - vermintide2_dx12.exe in
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12 - EasyAntiCheat.exe in
\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat
