TLDR; T4 Charmed Reload only restores 5 rounds, and per bullet stubber crit chance with 5% crit perk is ~4.5%, because crits account for a burst, rather than per bullet.
Definitely noticed that Charmed Reload really isn’t keeping my Stubber loaded up like it used to. With Lucky Bullet tree and 5% crit chance perk + T4 Charmed Reload, I’d expect to be able to completely unload on a Plague Ogryn and end up somewhere near 0. I know the mag size shrunk a bit - so my Gorgonum went from 91 to 82 ammo, but that shouldn’t have had such a noticeable effect as what I’m seeing.
T4 Charmed Reload says “10 Bullets loaded from Reserve on Critical hit.” - I’m getting 5. Additionally, I felt like I’m critting way less often than I used to, but my tests are about on par with expected. Base crit chance for the stubber has been 3%, and with the 5% perk you’d be at 8%. At some point, it was noted that you can only crit once per ‘burst’, meaning the minimal number of shots your weapon can fire per trigger pull. For for the Gorgonum, it’s 2 shots, and both will register as a crit, however that only counts as one instance of a crit for Charmed Reload. I’m about where I’d expect to be on that, which is somewhere around 4.6 reloads per 41 shots. (adding back in any gained ammo and again doing the math for that)
So, crits haven’t gotten worse, just that magazines have gotten smaller, and we’re getting half of what we’re supposed to with Charmed Reload.
