The days of preferring the MkIV have certainly come to a middle.
the reved light one on the MK XV heavy chainsword is also really wet and flat sounding, but thankfuly all the other sounds are fine and the weapon overall is incredible.
I must say i watched your part 1 video on the chains weapons,Reginald,and you hit right on the nail.
The only thing I would add is to up the amount of decals on the reved attack since,on the mauler,ragers,bullwark maniacs and flak armored ,you can put a saw attack on the torso of a mob without leaving any visible wound.
You can yourself check what Iâm saying,put a few rev attack with a chainsword on the back of a bullwark and watch him die without a wound.
The decals from the unreved moveset put some nice wound decals on the mob so the most straightforward solution would be that the chainsword and chainaxe reved attack inflict the same decals on the mobs.
But then it is a small details compared to the other and seems very weapon dependant(chain axe does make a round wound decal sometimes on flak bruiser for exemple).
The new engine sound on the new chainaxe light is sadly not enough.The engine sounds on the other chains weaponsâs moveset sounds a lot better so i donât know what is going on there.
I appreciate you giving it a watch. I can probably save you time as well, part 2 is 90% balance and we have achieved most of the goals of part 2 either directly or in some alternative fashion. The mk4 chaxe recieved most of the buffs i suggested in a seperate thread so i am happy. Though the audio is still wrong.
I agree on the decals! Good call out. If you ever try the hammer there is a decal that shows the body under the armor on some targets. Might be nice to see such wounds on chain weapon attacks too.
It feels like the visual effects of the wounds have been drastically toned down in a previous update? (XBox release?)
Being around since beta, Iâm positive it was much more visible and gory in earlier builds.
Is it just me or has there been some adjustments to the gore system/wounds display?
(a few friends noticed the same, but Iâm not sure if thereâs been an official info on this)

What is your opinions on the new esvicerator in game feeling? I must say i am positively surprised.I think i only got one move that bonked on the enemy ,it got good cleaving moveset with the light and good latching attacks on the heavy.The engine sounds is audible for most of the attack
The stab cleave through one enemy but latches on when there is multiple.
The reved moveset light doesnât latches on fodder but latches on elites.My onnly complaint is because of that ,the reved light can feel a bit anemic if there is no elites in your crowd.
I think this eviscerator got very little of the complaint peoples has made on the chains weapons.
i canât say if it has decreased to be honest but you are not the first person that tells me that they feels like the gore system is less visible recently.
On my PC,I do get them quite often.Ranged weaponry almost always applies a decals and melee weapons often aplies at least one with the killing blow.
I think the moveset is very bland (like all of them this patch) but its a powerful weapon with a good feel too it. The only interest in the moveset is the thrust. I love that thrust.
