Cant pick connected talent on Skitarii

I have tried to pick Uncapped Arrestor talent to reach the Aura, but I cannot pick it, eventhough I have to connected Slaughter Protocol and Adaptive Combat Engram talents.
Is this intentional? Are you only supposed to connect talents in a horizontal or downward vertical direction and never UPWARD?
This seems like a bug and was very confusing since there was no feed back sound either when trying to click, just did not seem to register.

It doesn’t look like Adaptive Combat Calibration is selected. And yes - you can only go outward not inward with the connections. It radiates out from the centre.

To reach Foe-Render Creed here you’d need a point in either Adaptive Combat Calibration, or Progressive Plating Matrix, into Uncapped Arrestor
