Thank you for extending the duration to 8 seconds, but can we PLEASE do something about the refresh rate? Why do I have to be running for a full second for it to actually refresh the buff? Why doesn’t it automatically refresh the instant I start sprinting? If you’re going to give it this clunky requirement you need to extend the duration massively to account for people who don’t want to constantly sprint for a full second and then stop so they can use the buff. I shouldn’t have to stare at the bottom of my screen to ensure I’ve sprinted enough for my stacks to not fall off.
Run and gun playstles are cool. Melee vet playstyles are cool. So lets make this hard to reach node deep into the talent tree actually useful for these more niche builds. Make the refresh instant, double its duration, make stacks fall off one at a time, include sprinting AND dodges. Something. Please, Fatshark.
I think they made it this way to prevent players from getting the buff for a quick slide.
+25% base damage would be a huge buff for just sliding 5 times.
I guess but competitive urge is +20% (and impact and suppression too) for doing absolutely nothing. You don’t even have to be in coherency, and with hi intensity spawns it gets triggered while its already active all round long for me.
can you give me an example? as all other nodes i see need at least some killing before getting the full buff.
While in this case you would just slide 5 times, which you really could call “for absolutely nothing”
yeah, its 2.5% chance of you getting those 3 buffs when any ally makes a kill for 8 seconds, and it can refresh while active. so in real gameplay its a ton of free buffs for being alive since it isn’t connected to coherency or anything the veteran does. any of the hi intensity modifiers I have it up for at least 75% of the game.
skirmisher definitely shouldn’t build stacks per slide or something but its way too slow to be useful now imo.
ah that one, forgot about it. I didn’t use it for a long time, the 2.5% chance was to inconsistend for me. Maybe i should give it another try.
If skirmisher builds stacks per slide, i would actually use it. I don’t sprint enough to make use of it.
But then maybe only +3% per stack with a max of +15% base damage (less bonus as it’s easier to maintain)
They designed it horribly. If they’re going to make it so hard to actually gain stacks throughout a game, then they shouldn’t have them all fall off at the same time and they definitely shouldn’t have this clunky activation time where you need to sprint for a full second and a half for the buff to stack/refresh.
I know a flat 25% damage would be too much to give away for free, so they need to either make it MUCH easier to stack and lower the overall value, or just make it actually feasible to stack at all if you build around it. Right now, it’s a worthless node even on the best builds for it.
