Can the Warp Fire be toned down? I can't see anything

Naaah, Nurglings! We need Nurglings. Just look at that smile:

That! That is what is needed to change darktide to be more 40k and less like another game just 40k flavored. I love the idea of nuisances for the team from Dark Heresy. For example the demonic voices? Ever heard of Ghost tape number 10? I would love for darktide to have 40k equivalent of it for minor perils of the warp.

You can never have enough Nurglings.

Funny, thats the primary reason i don’t use Purgatus much anymore on my Psyker.

and your groups thank you for your consideration !

Imagine the Veteran’s horror when he tones down the Psyker SFX slider and promptly finds he can no longer see the helpful Blue Glow Head indicator for easy headshots.

I have no issue whatsoever seeing with purgatus wether im using it or not. Bigger issues with this game than vfx.

then your very lucky , it completely blinds me its by far the biggest negative int he game for me,
and its not like it would be a big fix as some people are saying it doesnt affect them at all we could have an option to just turn it off

Would be great… But then we would see people that would gank players… So it won’t happen

The problem isn’t so much with the visibility per se, but 2 different flames and lightning and power swords strobing like mad overloading your eyeballs even causing nausea and seizures. At a minimum it’s a severe eye strain; they are aware. It’s especially bad given dark area or dark mode, and if you properly calibrate your screen it’s often gonna hurt.

Not long ago they had to hotfix new spell FX the patch introduced because they were making people sick.
P.S. You can turn bloom OFF in the settings, and change the particles_capacity_multiplier in user.config to something between 0 and 1, start w/ 0.5 OR 0.25 , it may help. (watch out for side effects like reduced ground fire)

Nah, it’s definitely the visibility.

Visibility in general is terrible in Darktide and I’m not even talking about conditions. Brown upon brown colour pallet, followed by visual effects which limit the picture clarity further: like on the death door washed out screen, peril visual effects etc. Special enemies without visual highlights (the default hounds).

I’ve put a reshade on the game that makes colors pop slightly more, but everything still blends. So yeah it is a pain in the a**

There are mods to disable the death door and peril “filters”, but this is a band-aid on failure of game design. Go for the dark future look as much you want Fatshark, just consider gameplay “slightly” more.

Respectfully…WITNESS YOUR DOOM!

Yeah, I recently posted about this in “performance feedback”. The contrast is too high and the heretics don’t properly light up when on fire in the darkness. I find it way too hard to see the heretic animations. I’m using an OLED /w HDR so the contrast is extreme.
