Also having this problem! Just wanted to second the issue. 
I stumbled on a work-around
- Put your game’s display mode to ‘Windowed’
- Once in ‘Windowed’ mode, click on the edge of the window and resize it until the UI fixes itself
Its like shaking it around to get the offset for the hud element to correct itself
